My work as a multimedia producer.
I struggled to decide on exactly what to call myself. My career so far, as well as my interests, have always been varied and vast. So, ultimately, I landed on "multimedia producer" considering my last five years of work.
In those five years, I've worked on a variety of formats, including video, photo, social media, print and events, which pushed me to tackle a variety of tasks. In my roles, and in this day and age in general, each job of mine has required me to be more than just one thing. So, I feel as though I've become a jack-of-all-trades, and especially, a quick learner in the realm of media.
But what I pride most is that, with my experience, love of people, and ability to switch between Western and Japanese cultural customs and between English and Japanese language quite fluidly, I often become the first point of contact or the first face that folks interact with for projects, on set or in the field.
And I try to make that experience as positive, fruitful, and warm as possible for everyone involved.
