As a full-time staff writer & reporter for The Japan Times, I pitched and wrote daily and breaking news stories, while also being the go-to reporter for stories focused on Tokyo and Japan's "international community," and the justice ministry.

I was also often tasked with taking and coordinating my own photos and videos for articles and for social, interviewing for the camera, and then selection, editing and caption writing when it came to publishing visuals.
